09:00 - The weather was holding and it was looking great for our first tour of the day, with not much wind and calm seas. We went first to Engey to try and find some Atlantic puffins, and we were glad to find them in big numbers, both on the island and in the water. We stayed there for some time as the passengers were delighted by our puffy friends, and eventually we left for deeper waters. After a bit of a sail we found our first humpback whale. It was an elusive individual that did not spend much time on the surface, but everybody got good views of the dorsal fin and the fluke when it was on the surface. After some time we continued South and we quickly came accross a group of around 10 white beaked dolphins. They were social, and swam repeteadly around the boat. As we were admiring the dolphins we saw the blow of a second humpback whale in the distance and a minke whale, and we headed in its direction to spend the last moments of the tour.

12:00 - Our second tour of the day went off with two boats. After stopping by the islands to see some puffins, we headed out into the bay in search of more of what we saw in the morning. Not too long into our sail, we found a humpback whale that was coming up to the surface around every 5 minutes before doing deep dives. We were able to watch this indivdual for a little while before it went down for a deep dive and disappeared! We decided to move on and try our luck at finding something else. It didn't take long before we found a pod of 7 white-beaked dolphins. This pod was very sociable and curious. They came right up next to our boat and we could see them swimming under the water! We then went back to try and see the humpback again but it had moved on so we had to return to the harbour.

15:00 - Things were looking good again for the last tour of the day. We left on two boats in the direction in which we had seen white beaked dolphins and humpback whales in the previous tours. We searched far and wide, in big patterns. Unfortunately we had no luck, and we only saw a humpback whale very briefly, that went for very long dives, making it hard to get good views of it. Eventually we came back to Engey to see more Puffins and we came back to port. We gave out complimentary tickets to come back again on the Classic Tour.
