09:00 - We set sail in the morning in amazing weather, no wind and flat seas. Shortly after we set off we found our first Minke whale, and as it was good seas, the passengers had ample opportunity to look at the whale as it went up and down the surface. They could take many photos and ask many questions; the individual was very active. A bit later on we spotted two more Minkes, making the total count of Minke whales of three animals. After we left them, we came accross a group of white beaked dolphins, around 7 of them. They were active also, and swam many times around and under the boat.

12:00 - We ventured into the wilderness of Faxaflói in search of marine life. After leaving the cool puffins of Engey we found a pod of 3 to 4 harbour porpoises that soon vanished beacuse they love to play hide and seek. Continuing on, the sea was amazing for sailing, not for sail boats, because the wind was close to none. We soon found 2 minke whales and very close by a small pod of 4 white-beaked dolphins were realaxing by the surface, We stayed for a while and then we went away in search of more. We did see 2 more minkes but the time was upon us and we came back to the harbour safe and sound.

15:00 - The day has been great so far, but we wanted greatness! After leaving Akurey and the cool puffins, we went south trying to look for something else. We soon saw a pod of 3 to 4 harbour porpoises which quickly dispersed.. classic porpoise behaviour. We did some marine miles for a while only seeing, puffins, gannets, guillemots and fulmars everywhere. At last we saw a fin of a minke whale that was a bit tricky to follow, but don't worry, we had a pod of 4 white-beaked dolphins close by so we checkd them out! They were very relaxed, and tried to be quiet while behind them. Another 2 minkes wre spotted but the time was also over, so we decided to go back to the harbour safe and sound!
