09:00 - What a great tour we had this morning! We decided to head South, to where we saw several cetaceans yesterday. We sailed for around 25 minutes in the company of Northern fulmars and Atlantic puffins, until we spotted the first cetacean of the morning! It was a minke whale, and it visited the surface often, so everybody could learn to identify them by the size and shape of their dorsal fin. After a while we spotted the characteristic blow of a humpback whale a bit farther away, so we said goodbye to the minke and headed towards the humpback. Upon getting close we could see that it was a young animal, as it did not seem to be very large. It came quite close to the boat and everybody was delighted. Afterwards we sailed a bit closer to land, as we spotted two more humpbacks in the distance. We approached them and they entertained us with side rolls and one of them showed its fluke sligthly. There were hundreds of sea birds around, and another minke could be seen feeding in the area, making the scene truly amazing. After some time we started our sail back, and everybody loved the puffins that we could see from the boat.
