Whale Diary

00 - We sailed out with nice weather and good sea conditions. The sun was was a little shining every now and then, but also a few raindrops came down. Then a part of a rainbow appeared on the sky. We saw 3 minke whales, but they all decided not to show themselves again. A few moments later we saw a group of 4 white-beaked dolphins, 2 being calves. They were very curious and checking out the boat, surfacing often and being the cutest dolphins. After a while they lost interest and left us, so we also made a little round and found 2 humpback whales, 1 of them being Neila. We spent some times with them, but they were sleeping, so we left them and headed back to the harbour. On the way back we passed another group of round about 5 dolphins and 2 humpbacks going for a deep dive in the distance. It was a great tour ! :)

00 - We started the tour with a little rain that stopped quickly and gave place to six white beaked dolphins then we sailed further and encountered two humpback whales cruising gently together. After a while we went to screen another area and saw another two humpback whales  before heading back to shores.

00 - The weather was nice, the sun was shining, the waves got a little closer to each other, so it was a little less smooth, then on the tour before, but still a nice ride. We went out to the same spot as before and had to look around for a bit, before we saw 2 blows. We found 2 humpback whales and were staying with them, when suddenly we saw a big splash in the distance. We saw it 2 more times, before it stopped. It was another humpback whales breaching, but it was too far to go. We stayed with our humpback whales and followed them every time they came up for air. They also showed us their fluke one time, but then the dives got longer and longer, until we couldn´t wait any longer, because we were quite far out. We made our way back to the harbour and stopped for a bit where some other boats were at. We saw 3 harbour porpoises surfacing a few times and checking us out. Very energetic and cute little cetaceans. After that we really had to leave for port, but with happy guests. :)

00 - We sailed out in rough conditions, the waves were high, but the guests had a lot of fun, so we proceeded. We had sunshine, we had rain, we had rainbows. Unfortunately the only thing that was missing on this tour were the animals, except for the birds. So we handed out complimentary tickets to our lovely passengers. :)
