20:00 - After a whole day with bad seas to sail out and explore, the sea conditions got way better for our evening tour, right on time to check out the beautiful light. With clear skies, shades of oranges and light purples, we were amazed by the beautiful landscape of Faxaflói. We first passed by Akurey to check out what the puffins were doing. After having fun spotting them, we went out looking for whales. Not far after passing by Grótta lighthouse, we spotted a big blow in the distance. There was a humpback whale feeding surrounded by seabirds! The birds helped us to track this hungry individual. It even lunge fed vertically, coming up! It was lovely to see this whale. We then went to explore a little bit more and spotted another humpback! This one was spending more time under the surface, so we decided to continue our trip, arriving to an area with at least 5 small flocks of birds, all very active! We then came back to the first whale that we saw, to check it out one last time before going home. It was still feeding a lot, sometimes coming close and allowing us to listen to its breathing! The sun started to set and on the way home we couldn't take our eyes off the landscape. Amazing night!
