Species seen today: Humpback whales, minke whales, white-beaked dolphins.

10:00 - It was a quite choppy out on the bay this morning but for the most part we could travel at a good speed. We heard from the classic tour boats that they were seeing flocks of birds and the odd sightings so thats where we headed. Before we even got to the large whale watching boats we saw an active flock of birds and a large splash. Obviously it was a minke whale lateral lunge feeding. We were even happier to see that it was humpie the minke whale, an individual we have know since 2011. A good friend to us.  Suddenly without notice a white-beaked dolphin surfaced next to the boat, then another. We had 2 playing with us for a long time and really amusing the passengers. There was a bit of a gap then where we didn´t see anything. Even the birds disappeared. On the radio another captain informed everyone of a blow they saw. We went searching and amazingly found two humpback whales side by side. They two whete friends to us, Marioupol (Male) and Neila (Female) that have been seen together and apart throughout the whole summer. A great pair. What an incredible morning to be out.

Crew - Captain Steini and Guide Megan.

14:00 -  Unfortunately we had to cancel the 14:00 due to increased wind and swell. Sorry for the inconvenience.
