Birds seen today: Great cormorant, purple sandpiper, arctic terns, arctic skua, northern gannet, black guillemot, common guillemot, atlantic puffin, northern fulmar, great and lesser black back gull, herring gull, brent goose, eider duck

10:00 - The tour started today with a quick stop on Akurey to see some atlantic puffins. This lovely birds started to arrive now for the breeding season. After some minutes of seeing the puffins the search for some cetaceans started. It didn't took to long to find the animals, they were literally everywhere. They bay is full of fish and whales are loving it. We stopped the boat when we saw the first one and the conditions were so calm, no wind at all, that we turned the engines off just to enjoy the nature around. As soon as the engines stop making noise multiple whales appeared around us, making a spectacular show. Around 7 different individuals were spotted and one of them came reaaly close to the boat, less than 4 meters. After spending a lot of quality time with the animals we had to start to return back to the harbour and on the way back 1 minke whale was spotted in the distance, a very good way to finish the tour.

14:00 - Today there was barely any wind at sea, perfect weather conditions for a whale watching tour. After a 20 minute ride wqe arrived in an area where we could see blows everywhere around us. There was at least a good 10 to more Humpback whales in this area most probably feeding. We got to see the incredible body of a few of the individuals quite close and their flukes as well as they dove for deeper dives. One humpback even breached, incredible sight to have for the lucky ones that happened to have been looking the right way at the right moment. We got then soe last sights really close on a really friendly, but really smelly, individual that decided to stay calmly real close to us. This humpback whale was highly probably feeding before appearing close to us, the smell in its breath quite said it all. TRhen it was time to head back toward the harbour after this incredible last sight.
