00 - We headed in the bay under a bit of cloud and fresh wind, but with beautiful glassy seas. After the last days of storm, it was amazing to see the sea this flat and windless. First stop was puffins and then we headed out for an adventure. After some time we spotted a pod of 10 or so white beaked dolphins scaterred in one area. And in the same area there was a humpback whale, we got to see more dolphins in the area around this humpback that showed us a few times its beautiful black and white fluke as it sent down for a deeper dive. We stayed a while with the humpback but at some point we decided to explore a bit more before heading back home. We saw 2 more pods of 5 or so white beaked dolphins, but also plenty fins of dolphins all around the area. Today was definitely a dolphin day. After many sights of all the pods of white beaked dolphins, we estimate there was at least a good 50+ dolphins in the whole bay area. We made our way back in the harbour with a nice sun and very cold breeze.

00 - Our tour had a great start, with a sunny sky and very calm waters. We were delighted when we noticed that the calm sea was not present only at the star, near the harbour, but throughout the whole tour. This meant that we had great conditions for searching for wildlife, and it wasn't long until we found our first cetacean, a minke whale. This was a great minke whale, as it stayed in our area for longer than what is usual, providing our guests the chance to see it multiple times (and even smell it's distinct breath, haha). This whale was soon followed by a second minke whale, with both feeding in the area. As we continued the trip, we were fortunate enough to find a second species, a small pod of white-beaked dolphins. These dolphins were curious enough to approach us, allowing our passengers to have a close view of these beautiful animals. We finished the tour with a little trip around Akurey Island, where we were surrounded by thousands of puffins, which made sure our guests could return back to Reykjavík with big smiles in their faces!

00 - We headed out in the beautiful weather towards Akurey where we had our first stop by the puffins. The tour continued on a calm sea and we headed out further. A minke whale appeared out of nowhere and we got very nice sightings of it. It even put its snout out of the water for us to display. After spending some time with the individual we continued in search for something else. We noticed a fluke dive from a humpback whale in the distance and investigated it further. It put on a nice show of fluke dives rather close to the boat. During this time a pod of around 6 white beaked dolphins appeared, so we gladly had to split the attention. After getting a good look at the two species we headed back to the harbour after a wonderful tour.

00 - We sailed out of the harbour with great weather conditions, sunny skies and calm waters. We sailed into an area where we expected to find wildlife activity, and it wasn't long until our expectations were met. We found two species of large whales, namely a humpback whale and various minke whales, feeding on what was likely a sizeable school fish in the area. The minkes gave us a nice show, approaching the boat various times, sometimes completely surprising us with where they would surface. Eventually, we turned around and started heading back, but not before stopping in one of the puffin islands to have an awesome view of these birds!

00 - This evening we sailed out into gentle seas with a bright sun shining overhead. We went deep into the bay, unexpecting of the spectacle we were about to see. Then, a big blow caught our eye. We quickly went over to what appeared to be a humpback whale! As we were spending time with this individual a pod of about 20 white-beaked dolphins joined the show. They were coming super close to our boat and were jumping all around us! Some of them even joined the humpback side-by-side as they were speeding deeper into the bay. Then, to top it all off, a minke whale appeared super closeby aswell! We spent quite some time witnessing this spectacle until we finally moved onwards, just for us to find another pod of about 8 dolphins, once again super curious and jumping so high! Blown away by how lively the bay was today, we eventually had to sail back to harbour, with big smiles on our faces.

00 - We went out in best conditions with clear sky, a slight breeze and little waves. Not far out we spotted the blow of a whale against the sun. As we got closer it turned out to be 2 humpback whales, a mother and her calf. We were very excited since such young animals are rarely seen in this waters. we spend some time with them and then decided to go further out to see what we can find. A good discission as it turned out as we came across 2 white-beaked dolphins that showed interest in our boats and followed us for a while. Further out we came another single white-beaked dolphin before we returned back to Reykjavik.
