09:00 - On this beautiful sunny day, with almost perfect conditions, we set out on to Faxafloi bay in search for cetaceans! On the way out we stopped for some sneaky harbour porpoises and a minke whale, but both times they disappeared as soon as we saw them. Then a blow appeared and when we got closer, the blow turned into a fluke! A humpback whale going for a dive. This was Harbour master, a whale we know quite well and it was feeding, taking dives and changing direction. We heard about a second humpback not far and went to investigate. This animal was also doing beautiful fluke dives, but with quite a number of boat around we didn´t stick around long and decided to try our luck elsewhere. Lucky we got, a big pod of white-beaked dolphins was playing and jumping around, coming close and bow riding the waves we were making! After this amazing encounter, we headed back home, enjoying the sun and the mountains surrounding us.
