10:00 - After many days of strong winds we were glad to be able to finally go out on the ribs! The sea wsa very calm, with a beautiful silver colour and no white caps. The sky was covered in clouds but it did not rain. We saw a lot of life in the bay today, with 3-4 pods of harbour porpoises, 4 pods of white-beaked dolphins and 6-7 minke whales. The white-beaked dolphins were in groups of 4-8 individuals, sometimes coming close to our boat and sometimes jumping showing us some acrobatic skills. We had a calf coming alongside the boat seeming curious and social and it stay with us for a while until its mother got it to focus on æore serious dolphin matter, getting away from our boat. Minke whales were surfacing sometimes close sometimes far. There was a nice area with 3 of them probably feeding that we coudl observe well. We were out of time so we came back to the harbour after this lovely morning in Faxafloi.
