00 - This day offered us sunny skies and calm seas. We did not have to go particularly far until we saw some dorsal fins cutting through the surface. It happened to be a pod of around 5 white-beaked dolphins. They gave us some nice glimpses but they seemed to be quite busy traveling so we let them be and carried on. Another dorsal fin came up and it was a minke whale. It showed itself twice and then it continued on feeding. Birds were circling above so it was probably quite a lot of fish underneath the surface. A big blow was seen in the distance belonging to a humpback whale. It gave us some beautiful fluke dives. Another blow was seen in the distance and it was another humpback whale individual. This one put on a feeding show. Birds were going crazy and it was cool to see how we could follow the flock and estimate where and when the whale would come up. It surfaced frequently and gave us some beautiful, and very tall fluke dives (they were almost vertical!). Such a lovely day out at sea today!

00 - We had a lovely tour today with even lovelier weather as there was no wind, calm seas and even a bit of sunshine. The whales were even lovelier as we saw no less than 6 humpback whales this tour. First we saw a feeding humpback, surfacing regularly followed by an excited flock of birds, picking the leftovers. We then found a sleepy pair of humpbacks, surfacing slowly and regularly. Next up was another feeding individual. This one was bubblenetting as well, giving us a really cool show! Finally we stopped for another pair, that were feeding together as well and gave us a few surprisingly close surfacers to our boat! The last and final whale arrived to join the pair right as we left, allowing us to put our counter at six for this tour!

00 - We could not have picked a better day to go whale watching. Not only because of the weather, but we were in for an absolute treat today. It started with a minke whale and then we spotted a splash in the distance. We went to investigate, quickly realizing there was more going on than we thought. A humpback whale was lunge feeding at the surface! This one was blowing bubbles, coming towards the surface with open mouth, even very close to the boat! All around there were minke whales feeding as well, with one of them also lunge feeding right next to us! We got a amazing look at their belly and the way it expands while feeding. Birds circling everywhere and we could even hear some distance trumpeting of two other humpback whales! After an incredible encounter with this humpback, we stumbled upon a pod of jumping white-beaked dolphins! This pod of 10 to 15 individuals then split up into two, one of the pods got very close, swimming under the boat and jumping around us. We returned to the harbour with the sun on our faces, enjoying the almost mirror sea and with a experience we will never forget.

00 - The sun really came through this afternoon and with sea conditions ever as nice we sailed out again. The wildlife was enjoying the weather just as much as we did because we could spot blows everywhere! In total we saw 5 humpback whales, all of them feeding and one even treated us to some incredible lungefeeds! Yet another humpback whale was blowing sume bubble curtains under the water, gathering the fish like a pro! We also saw a total of 4 minke whales. Just like the humpbacks they were all feeding as well and again one did some surprise lungefeeds! We spent a long time out, hopping from whale to whale and enjoying the presence of each. The combination of perfect weather and wildlife made this a tour to remember!

00 - We headed out into calm seas under the beautiful midnight sun, with perfect conditions for an evening at sea. Not long after leaving Puffin Island, we came across our first minke whale. In fact, there were several minkes feeding in the area, but they were all rather shy, surfacing only briefly before disappearing again, so we only managed a few quick glimpses. Soon after, we spotted the unmistakable blow of a humpback whale in the distance. As we approached, we found it actively feeding at the surface, providing us with fantastic views as it repeatedly surfaced through the baitfish. We spent a good amount of time watching this incredible whale before moving on to check out another humpback reported nearby. On our journey back toward the harbour, we were treated to one final surprise—a minke whale surfaced close by, giving us a lovely farewell sighting to round off a memorable trip. With calm seas, golden midnight light, shy minkes, and spectacular humpback feeding behaviour, it was a wonderful evening on the water.
