12:00 - The wind had picked up as we headed out for our second tour of the day. It wasn't long until we spotted a blow close to our left, and we were greeted by a humpback whale! This individual was one of the same ones we saw in the morning, with beautiful white tail flukes that turned upward like a bird's wingspan. As we were waiting for this whale to resurface, another humpback whale suddenly appeared close by! It quickly became apparent that we were sitting right on top of a busy feeding area, as a minke whale also surfaced next to us a few times, before disappearing into the deep. Whilst we were watching the humpbacks, a small pod of 3-4 harbour porpoises approached us and took an interest in the boat, circling all around us as if they were checking us out! They continued to hover around us for a good while, and one of the humpbacks even lunge fed upside down right next to us and the porpoises! At one point, the porpoises left us to swim alongside one of the humpbacks, and we did not see them again. After a while hanging out with these whales, we headed further out into he bay to search for more wildlife and were lucky to spot the third humpback whale of the tour, our beloved Harbour Master, who was feeding away to its hearts desires. At that point, we had ran out of time and sadly had to say goodbye to the whales. We had one last look at Harbour Master's fluke as it went for a dive, and we made our way back to Reykjavík happy as clams after this great tour!
