10:00 -During our whale watching tour in Faxafloi, we had the pleasure of encountering three humpback whales. The first whale was feeding beneath the surface and out of sight, performing long dives and proving a little difficult to follow. After seeing another blow, not too far from our location, we ventured further afield in the hope of a more accommodating whale. The second whale was resting at the surface, appearing peaceful and content. We had two close encounters with the whales, where we saw the flukes of both. It was an awe-inspiring sight to see their massive tails up close, and to watch them swim gracefully nearby. The third whale was only visible by its blow, but it was still a thrilling sight to see. Overall, it was an great tour with very good sightings

12:00 - During our two-hour whale watching excursion, we were fortunate to see a variety of incredible sea creatures. The highlight of the tour was spotting a majestic humpback whale, one of the largest animals in the world. We watched as it gracefully surfaced and showed off its beautiful fluke. We also encountered a pod of  white-beaked dolphins, who playfully surfed the waves and swam alongside our boat. Additionally, we spotted some adorable puffins perched on the cliffs, diving into the water to catch fish. These small seabirds are iconic to Iceland and always make for great photo opportunities. Overall, it was a fantastic tour filled with unforgettable sightings of a humpback whale, white-beaked dolphins, and charming puffins.
