00 - We layered up and headed out with some much welcomed sunshine! With very calm water it was smooth sailing. It did not take long until we came across one humpback whale. This humpback was pleasantly feeding and gave us many surface sequences and treated us to their fabulous fluke. We then headed further into the bay and spotted one minke whale. This minke right away let us smell that stinky minke breath; nice and fishy. With multiple surface sequences, we felt pretty lucky from this elusive species and kept on moving. We then came upon two humpback whales feeding! We got to see some bubble net feeding and even got so see a roll from one humpback. It is always thrilling to see those pectoral fins out of the water! We must have found a feeding frenzy because not only did we have these humpbacks, but we then spotted the blows of another pair of two humpback whales in the distance! When we arrived it was a feeding frenzy with birds galore diving down as well. When the food is aplenty it is amazing. When we were watching this pair of humpbacks we had two solitary minkes around as well! With the water so calm it was easy to keep spotting the minkes pop up every now and then and follow the humpbacks. We also got to see both humpback flukes and hear the blows. With five humpbacks and four minkes, we counted ourselves lucky and moved away from our feeders and onto our breeders; the Atlantic puffins! There were puffins galore, and having had a great start to the day we headed back to port.

00 - Sailing out in the glossy sea this morning, we knew we would have a great day ! Through the tour, we managed to find a feeding zone full of whales, with 3 minke whales and 6 humpback whales roaming around, surrounded by plenty of birdlife. We had 2 pairs of 2 whales, one logging (sleeping) and the other younger-older pair fluke diving to feed down deeper. A really amazing sight and an amazing tour to start the day

00 - What an amazing day. We sailed out under clear skies and calm seas straight to Akurey island. We said hello to our little friends and stayed with them on the biggest colony of puffins in faxafloi bay. Few minutes after we came across to the most curios minke whale we have seen. It did a foul circle and came to check our boat not more than a miter away for it letting us speechless. After this amazing moment we set course towards the open waters. Not long after we spotted the first humpback whale that impressed us with its size and its beautiful fluke. Soon we realized that on the aerie we where cruising in were at least 5 humpback whales that we observed all of them. Few spaces got our eyes that came for some really playful white beaked dolphins that followed our way for long and lead us to a humpback whale that was lobtailing and rolling making our tour a non stop show that will be totally unforgettable

00 - Continuing our amazing day and weather, the conditions couldn't be more more perfect, and so were the whales. We started by seeing a couple of minke whales, before encountering 2 humpback whales fluking profusely. We later went to find several pods of white beaked dolphins, all with several calf in them ! All of them were jumping out and coming very close to our boat ! We then ended by having 4 humpbacks roaming around our boat, for us to have a great look at their anatomy, their flukes and their mobility, as they came under our boat again. Altogether, we saw 5 minke whales, 6 humpback whales with 2 of them paired up, at least 20 white beaked dolphins, and more puffins than the eye could see !

00 - The sun had lowered but the day kept on giving. We first headed to Akurey island to look at some adorable puffins, before beginning our journey further into the bay. It wasn't long until we encountered one minke whale that stopped by for a few minutes. Then, we ventured out and found a humpback whale! We watched this whale for a few minutes in awe, not realising that at this point, the fun was only beginning. We then encountered a pod of 10-15 white-beaked dolphins who were showing off their acrobatic skills and bow riding with us! While we were hanging out with the dolphins, we got word of a group of humpback whales that was spotted further west. Of course, we made our way there and said goodbye to the dolphins. When we arrived, we were completely surrounded by whales! Everywhere we looked, a whale could be seen, either close to us or in the distance. Overall in this area there must have been 7-8 humpback whales and at least 5 minke whales, all feeding! Some dolphins had even turned up to the party and were mingling alongside the humpback whales! We watched one whale bubble net feed before moving over to a pair of humpbacks that were quite active on the surface, and we could soon see that this was a mother and her calf! The calf was very playful, rolling over, breaching, pec slapping, and tail throwing multiple times! At one point, while mom went for a dive, it decided to come closer and check out the boat! We stayed with this pair for the remainder of the tour, admiring them in awe as they existed in this blue world. We unfortunately had to say goodbye to this pair when we were running out of time, but spotted multiple minke whales and humpback whales on the way back. This was certainly an unforgettable day!
