10:00 - We had the incredible luck of spotting a whale up close - really close to the boat! And it was a humpback whale. The ocean was alive with motion, the waves rolling big and bold, but that didn’t stop our star of the day from putting on a show. The whale surfaced just beside us, its slick back gliding through the swells before diving gracefully into the deep again and again. Each dive felt more dramatic with the backdrop of those large waves, and every time the whale resurfaced, there was a chorus of gasps and cheers from everyone onboard. You could see the awe in people's eyes - pure wonder at how such a massive, wild creature could come so near, almost like it was curious about us too. The mood on deck was electric. Cameras clicked, eyes widened, and for a few magical moments, it felt like the sea and its secrets had opened up just for us.
