Whale Diary

10:00 - Exciting first tour of the day! Not long after leaving the marina we came across the first humpback whale of the tour, Davy Jones! Davy was loving the morning, chilling and rolling, and taking its time between surface appearances. After a bit we left Davy alone, and we moved on, and we found 3 more humpbacks together. Total count 4 individuals. They were an incredible sight and everybody was delighted! On the way back we also saw white beaked dolphins, around 5 of them. Great tour!

13:00 - Another great tour! We sailed around 25 minutes straight out, and we eventually found 2 humpback whales. They were not together, but they were in the same area. The first one, all of a sudden, breached! And everybody on board saw it. The second one gave us a really nice fluke dive and some side rolls, as it interacted with white beaked dolphins, around 10 of them in the area. There was also a minke whale around.
