10:00 - We sailed out today in a bit of wind and waves but with a nice sun (rare for the Reykjavik area). One of our boat went to explore south and the other one north, on the look for cetaceans. After some time our boat on the south coast got lucky enough to encounter a humpback whale, lucky enough for them the humpback was quite friendly showing up quite close for a few surfacing sequence before going for a longer diver when showing its fluke. For our boat going north we encountered a few flocks of birds and a few minke whales,  we had 2 of them that surfaced a few times really fast and once close to the boat. We all got to have a good look at the minke whales but still really fast and only for 2 surface sequence. We then went down south toward the area where we heard the humpback whale was. We stopped by the area where our colleague had seen the nice humpback and waited for it to show up again. Unfortunately the whale never showed up again, probably changed direction and left the area, and we slowly ran out of time so we headed back toward the harbour. However due to the poor sighting we decided to offer to our passenger that only saw the minke whales really fast a complimentary ticket to come back in our sister company Elding to hopefully enjoy a better look of the animals.
