12:00 - We found white-beaked dolphins very soon after we left Reykjavík harbour. We could watch this wonderful pod of about 8 individuals for some time as they came up in unison. They were feeding, however, and therefore we decided to give them some more space and continued to an area that is called Marflo. There we encountered hundreds of sea birds and probably 10-15 minke whales. The minke whales came up all around us and sometimes very close. After some time we continued to circle the bay a bit more and approached Reykjanes to get a closer up view of the smoke of the volcano. Then it was already time to head back to Reykjavík with the memory of some beautiful sights.

14:00 - We went first see the puffins in Engey before going further out in the bay to find some whales. We started exploring the north of the bay near Akranes but did not see anything so we went a bit more in the center where big flocks of birds were feeding. We spotted 3-4 minke whales there that were sometimes lunge-feeding under the birds. We saw a minke from quite close twice but the rest of the time they were a bit difficult to spot so we we gave complimentary tickets to the passengers. We still enjoyed seeing a lot of sea life with the birds and nice fun time just outside the harbour.

16:00 - The tour started with the lovely puffins at the island of Akurey, this small keeps amazing us everyday with his colorfull beak and clumsy walking. After the puffins we faced the bay searching for the cetaceans. Since this afternoon we didn't found any humpbacks and just a few minke whales we decided to go look another areas to see if we could find something bigger. Nothing bigger appeared but actually smaller animals were spotted. This animals were white beaked dolphins around 10 of them jumping very close to the boat and totally making the tour today. Everyone enjoyed this curious dolphins for some time and after we had to start to head back to the harbour.

20:00 - The midnight sunlight was once again beautiful tonight, and the sea was like glass. We found harbour porpoises just off Grótta, and we could follow them for a little time but then we wanted to search for some other species. Quickly after, we encountered two white-beaked dolphins that were a bit curious of the boat but then started swimming in the opposite direction of us. We observed a few more pods of white-beaked dolphins throughout the bay, and we got some very close up views when they came to play with the bow. Next we spotted a couple of minke whales in an area with a few birds, but when we moved on to an area with hundreds of birds we understood that that was where the action was happening. Here were probably 7 or 8 minke whales coming up in all directions, and with all the birds and pretty sunlight it made for a beautiful scenery.
