00 - We had a great start to the day with seeing not one, not two, but FOUR humpback whales! We started out with one solitary humpback who gave us a really nice surface sequence. Then in the distance we saw another blow and decided to investigate. This humpback whale was very relaxed and allowed us to see its wonderful fluke up close! After a bit we sailed off and managed to find a pod of three white beaked dolphins. Our dolphins gave us some nice surfaces sequences. While looking at the dolphins, we managed to also come across one minke whale! Elusive as usual we managed to get two surfaces before our minke waved goodbye to us. But that was okay because we then came across two more humpback whales together! One of them was a crew favorite, Davy Jones! With two whales at once we were able to have consistent viewing of humpbacks! When one went down the other would surface and vise versa. They came nice and close so we could even see the pectoral fins through the water. After one blow we could smell that fishy breath, what an experience! After many fantastic views we waved our humpbacks goodbye and headed back to port. What a way to start the day!

00 - We started the day with a visit to puffin Island, where the cliffs were full with puffins. After a quick stop, we headed out into open waters, hoping for a whale sighting. Our first sign of life was a group of white-beaked dolphins leaping in the distance. We observed them for a moment before moving on in search of whales. Soon, we spotted two humpback whales feeding, surfacing regularly with powerful blows. But the real surprise came next. We saw a minke whale in the distance, and as we approached, it swam right under our boat! The minke was curious, circling around and beneath us multiple times. It was an incredibly rare and intimate interaction, leaving everyone on board in awe.

00 - The ocean was like glass - so calm and still that it almost felt like we were floating in a dream. A soft layer of clouds drifted above us, breaking here and there to let golden sunlight stream through, casting a magical glow over the sea. Perfect whale watching weather. We had the absolute joy of seeing three different humpback whales today! Each one brought its own kind of wonder. They were mostly focused on feeding, taking deeper dives between surfacings, with that classic arching back and powerful fluke lifts. The rhythm of their dives felt almost meditative - breathe, dive, wait, and then... boom, the next exhale broke the stillness. At one point, they were so close to the boat you could hear the exhale echo off the water, and the mist from their blows sparkled in the sunlight. People on board were speechless, caught between cheering and simply soaking in the moment. Cameras clicked, but many just stood quietly, in awe. There’s nothing quite like witnessing wild whales feeding right in front of you—their immense grace, their calm power, their presence. Every sighting felt like a gift. Truly a great tour today.

00 - We headed out with the sun breaking through the clouds. Just beyond the harbour, a group of harbour porpoises appeared, playful and curious. They circled the boat and darted underneath us a few times before vanishing into the waves. Soon after, we noticed big splashes in the distance – a pod of 15 white-beaked dolphins leaping through the water! We had a fantastic view as they jumped and played all around us. Then came the highlight – a humpback whale, its massive blow rising high into the air. Birds were circling above, a clear sign it was feeding below the surface. And just when we thought the day was done, we spotted two more humpbacks – a mother and her calf, swimming side by side. We wrapped up the tour with a visit to puffin Island, where dozens of puffins bobbed on the waves and fluttered around the cliffs – the perfect ending to an unforgettable trip.

00 - We started our evening out with a visit to one of our puffin colonies. Always great to see them starting to bring fish back to their burrows, exciting! Then we headed out into the bay and first stopped at one humpback whale. After a great surface sequence and many fluke dives, we spotted another blow so we went to investigate. We found a feeding frenzy with one humpback whale and a ton of birds. The birds were allowing us to easily track the humpback as before they would surface the birds would hover right over it. As if we did not have enough, another humpback whale came to join the feeding frenzy and so we had a humpback on both sides of the boat! Three humpback whales in one tour, amazing! We also had a pod of 15 white beaked dolphins! And not only one but two solitary minke whales! One minke even surfaces quite close providing us with a nice view of its dorsal! With many sightings, we counted ourselves lucky and headed back to port. What a great end to another great day out on the bay.
