10:00 - It was very sunny as we headed out in the bay. There was some swell, but nothing too bad that would prevent to go explore the area for cetaceans. It took us some time but we managed to get to an area where there was other boats and a pod of about 10 white beaked dolphins ! The dolphins were going around the area quite fast, after some time with the dolphins one of our boats continued further out and eventually managed to cross path with some minke whales. It was a bit of a struggle, the animals did not want to show up at the beginning, but at the very end we managed to see 3 different individuals minke whales iclunding one close ! The other boat that had stayed with the dolphins, spent a bit more time with this group and eventually also managed to see one minke whale. After that we all went back toward the harbour : not a bad trip !

12:00 - Today the animals were a bit more difficult to find but we found them at the end! More far away then usual we found 2 minke whales that we could watch for quite some time. This animals were travelling along side the boat and showing their beautiful body for a couple of times and everyone got a chance to see them. Eventually we had to start to head back to the harbour finishing another good tour.

14:00 - We had a beautiful and sunny day ahead so we decided to go out and try to see some whales! We didn't have any wind but the sea was a bit wavy, nothing that could stop us. After sailing through the waves we spotted a pod of 3 to 4 harbour porpoises, porpoising in the middle of the waves but they disappeared right away. We carried on with the search and not too far from there, 2 fins were spotted going fast! We had with us 2 minke whales that were surrounding the boat! We could see the whales pocking their heads first, then the body, the dorsal fin and gone! Truly amazing sighting! We did find another minke whale that did basically the same. We stayed with them most of the time and then we scanned around. Another splash was seen and we had another pod of harbour porpoises that were a bit nicer and we could see them quite clearly. The time was over so we headed back with the swell supporting us like we were surfing the big waves of Nazaré!

16:00 - The waves were still quite high but the wind was still barely present as we started our sail out in the bay. We headed toward areas where we had seen some animals in the previous trips and it did not disappoint ! A lot of minke whales were around one area, we navigated around it and saw at least 10 to 15 minkes including a few quite close. We also noticed 2 pods of harbour porpoises navigating very fast around, the first one of about 2 individuals and the second of 3 to 5. Then we continued and noticed some splashes of white beaked dolphins ! It was a pod of about 6 individuals that we got to see for a bit before we had to start our way back toward the harbour. All in all, very nice sightings !
