10:00 - There were minke whales everywhere today! In the beginning we had to be patient to get a good look at them, because these individuals were diving irregularly. A bit later, we encountered much more relaxed individuals and we could follow them for many surfacing sequences. Sometimes, the minke whales even came very close to us and we could see all the details on the top of their heads, back and dorsal fins. In the meantime, harbour porpoises also started to show some interest for our ribs and we had some close up views of them too! Finally, we spotted two white-beaked dolphins in the distance. We tried to follow them, but then a minke whale came up just behind the boat and the dolphins disappeared out of sight.

14:00 - There was a bit more wind in the afternoon but also sunshine so it was quite warm in the bay. We had first an unexpected sighting of 4 harbour porpoises right at the entrance of the harbou! We kept going after seeing them a few times. The minke whales were still in the area, and we could see some of them for a few surfacing sequences. We then stumbled upon a pod of maybe 7-8 white-beaked dolphins. The dolphins came up regularly and sometimes swam under the boat so that we could see their beautiful partially-white bodies through the water. After the dolphins, we saw a few more minke whale surfaces and also some quick harbour porpoises before it was time to head back to the city.
