10:00 - It was raining slightly as we set off this morning but we were nevertheless ready to brave the seas! After searching for a bit, we were rewarded with a Humpback Whale! This individual was very calm and went for several short dives. This meant we got to see it at the surface a bunch of times and we also got a bunch of good lukes at the fluke when it went for a dive. Eventually we ran out of time, so it was time for us to head back home. But not before we made a stop at one of the puffin islands, where we got to spend some time with these charismatic little birds!

12:00 - In the beginning of the tour it was raining a little bit and we had some splashes, but as we got further out on the bay it improved. It stopped raining and splashing. As we went quit far out we saw a blow in about 500m distance, so we went there. It was 1 Humpback Whale! And boy it was the best Humpback in a while. Our tour named it "Blessing", because everyone of us got a sniff of it's blow. :) But that was not all! This whale was so curious and friendly it came sooooo close to the boat ( about 1m ) and that for multiple times !!! It also flukes multiple times, showing us it's beautiful tail. We LOVED it !!!

14:00 - During our afternoon trip we started by visiting the island of Akurey and seeing the beautiful Atlantic puffins flying all around us. Then we started sailing to the bay searching for wildlife. The wind had pick up a little but we knew the last spot that the whale was seen so we headed in that direction with our eyes wide open. After about 30 minutes of sailing we spotted the first blow! A Humpback Whale! The whale was swimming quite fast and changing direction frequently but still showed some curiosity towards the boat getting quite close to us! We watched the whale fluke multiple times slowly and we could see it's beautiful fluke pattern in great detail! After a very good sighting we decided to started our way back to rainy Reykjavik after an afternoon well spent.

16:00 - We had bad weather conditions, it was raining a lot and the waves were already coming in but everyone had fun riding these waves. As we headed out the conditions worsten and it was a rough sea with lots of caps on the waves, so it was very difficult to sea anything. Unfortunately we saw nothing on this tour, but fortunately all the guests had fun riding the RIB. So we gave everyone complimentary tickets so they could try again on the larger boats!
