Whale Diary

09:00 - We saw a  nice Humpback Whale and energetic White Beaked Dolphins on our morning tour. Everyone had a great time.

10:00 - We sailed out into crispy cold seas with barely any wind and waves this morning. After sone searching, we found a humpback whale! We got to spend quite some time with this individual and got see it do multiple beautiful fluke dives! Eventually, we decided to give this individual some well deserved peace and quiet and move onwards to see what else the bay had in store for us today. Shortly after,  we found ourselves a very big pod of about 20 very active white beaked dolphins! We saw them jumping very often and they came close to the boat many times! Finally, it was time to leave the thrill behind and head back to port, feeling very satisfied about our morning out at sea.

12:00 - Again we saw nice White Beaked Dolphins plus a Humpback Whale surfing in the waves.

13:00 - This afternoon the seas were calm and the air was crisp. After some searching we encountered a familiar face; namely the humpback whale Davy Jones II. He was playing around with a pod of white beaked dolphins this afternoon so we had a blast following them around until the dolphins finally disappeared. Shortly after though, a minke whale passed by as well! After a bit more time with Davy, who treated us with multiple beautiful fluke dives, we headed onwards towards a second humpback. This individual even did a peduncle throw while we were heading into its direction! A couple nice fluke dives later, it was time for us  end our afternoon trip and enjoy the ride back.

16:00 - And again, great sightings with a Humpback Whale and White Beaked Dolphins playing with him.
