09:00 - What a whale of a day we had out on the water! The sun was shining, the wind was practically on vacation, and the sea was as smooth as a dolphin’s back. We sailed out and, after a bit, hit the jackpot—10-15 white-beaked dolphins all around us. These guys were excited, leaping and bow riding - They definitely stole the show early on. But then things got even better. We moved on and came across a humpback whale that was in the mood for a bit of action! It was doing 3-4 minute dives, and at one point, it came pretty close to our boat.! You could feel the excitement ripple through the group like, well, waves! After that, we cruised along and found four minke whales, but these little guys were playing hard to get. They were a bit on the shy side, maybe thinking, “I’m not ready for my close-up.” But hey, even shy whales are better than no whales, right? So, between playful dolphins, an active humpback, and some sneaky minkes, I’d say it was a good day out at sea!
