10:00 – Today we left the harbour with very good conditions, the sun was shinning and sky was clear. We could see all the peninsulas around us, wich is not common. At the begining of the tour we went to Akurey to see some puffins, a lot of them already arrived to Reykjavik. After we went in the midle of the bay to search for some cetacean life. On our way we quickly crossed a minke whale. After some minutes of searching 2 Humpback Whales appeared and one of them was "Neila" an humpback that we saw before multiple times, the first sighting was in 2021. This is a very good sign meaning the bay is still full of life and we have whales returning to the bay. We had a very nice view of this 2 individiuals and after some minutes we left to try to search another ones, since we didnt want to disturb them for too long. Some birds appeared in the distance and went to check another 2 Humpback Whales surfaced making a very good tour just at the end of the available time, what a way to finish.

14:00 – This afternoon the sun came out that gave for a really pleasant ride in Faxafloi bay with the excellent sea conditions. After seeing some puffins we headed in the open sea and soon spotted a pod of about 5 harbour porpoises. This species, usually elusive, allowed us to have a really nice look at their tiny dorsal fin today. We then left and spotted a humpback whale, this first individual quite elusive was moving fast away from the boat. We decided to change area to another individual in order to respect the animal and our code of conduct. The second individual allowed us to have some nice close views on its massive body and tail when it did deep dive. We could also notice the entanglement scar on its body and basis of the tail fin. We moved after some time to a third individual humpback whale we had a look of a few breathing sequences. It was then time to head back to the harbour under the warm sun.
