Species seen today: humpback whales, minke whales, white-beaked dolphins

Today the weather was very mixed. In the morning we headed out into a rain cloud and got a nice jet wash as we motored around on the boat. However, this didn't last long. Soon the sun was out and conditions improved through the rest of the day. We had a very successful morning tour, seeing three of the four species we regularly find. We first came across a pair of humpback whales travelling together very relaxed. They then started feeding on mackerel, splitting up and picking up speed to catch these fast fish! While we were spotting the humpbacks we also got glimpses of a few minke whales. As we were headed back closer to land, we were joined by a pod of dolphins that came right up to the boat a few times so close we could look in their eyes! The afternoon was a lot sunnier
