Whale Diary

14:00 - What an incredible afternoon of whale watching! We started with high hopes as yesterday it had been amazing, with lots of humpbacks just out of the harbour. And we were not disappointed! After just 5 minutes of sail we found humpback whales just where we hoped! We found a total of 3 individuals. They were both feeding, swimming in wide circles, very relaxed. We stayed with them the whole time. The passengers had plenty of time to observe and take photos and ask many questions. Also, the location was protected from the wind, and with a golden sun out, the whole tour was perfect.

16:00 - The conditions were nice, because the sun was shining. The weather itself was cold and a little choppy sea, but still fine. We hadn't to go out very far, because the whales were still in the bay. We found 3 Humpback Whales. All of them were smoothly traveling around and not doing much, but surfacing and showing us their beautiful flukes. So we spent time with each of them, one after the other. Also we saw 1 shy Minke Whale, it was surfacing 2 quick times and was gone for good afterwards.
