00 - The weather this morning started off with a bit of an attitude-windy, overcast, and a swell that had us swaying like we were on a gentle roller coaster. But we weren't about to let a little weather dampen our spirits! After a half-hour sail through the choppy waters, our patience paid off when we spotted two very elusive minke whales. These guys were as shy as could be, popping up only briefly before vanishing into the depths again. Just as we were starting to think our minke encounter might be a fleeting one, the ocean decided to surprise us with a twist! Enter stage left: a pod of 8-10 super playful white-beaked dolphins! These acrobatic beauties were bow riding and surfing the waves like they were auditioning for a dolphin stunt show. It was a dolphin party, and we were all VIP guests. Eventually, we had to leave the dolphins to continue our search. And as if the ocean was not done with its surprises, we soon spotted not one, but two majestic humpback whales. They were doing their short dives, likely feeding with a fleet of northern fulmars swirling around them. The sight was a perfect grand finale to our adventure a dynamic duo of humpbacks putting on a show against the backdrop of a cloudy sky. Despite the earlier rough conditions, it turned out to be an action-packed day at sea, full of unexpected encounters and unforgettable moments. From the elusive minkes to the playful dolphins and the grand humpbacks, it was a whale of a trip we'll be talking about for a long time!

00 - This morning was a bit grey and wavy but all our passengers enjoyed the ride! We headed out into the bay and our captain expertly navigated the swell. Soon, we found 2 humpback whales that were travelling together. They were swimming and surfacing side-by-side and a few times they surfaced very close to our boat! We were lucky enough to see the white pectoral fins through the water. We were with some other whale watching boats at first but when they all left we had the whales to ourselves! At this point, one of the humpbacks started tail slapping and trumpeting right next to the other individual - maybe they were having an argument under the water! While we were waiting for them to surface, we also saw a minke whale briefly but then it disappeared in the waves. An amazing tour!

00 - After a stormy morning, the weather finally decided to play nice, and we were off! The wind had mellowed out, and the swell was much kinder, making for a smooth start. Little did we know we were in for quite the show! It didn’t take long before our first star of the day appeared—a curious minke whale! This one was feeling particularly bold, giving us a few close-up views before slipping back into the deep. Just as we were saying our goodbyes, we spotted another minke not far off. But this one? A bit more camera shy. After a quick peek, it dove back down. But the ocean had more in store! Not long after, we were greeted by a pod of 7-10 white-beaked dolphins, and oh, did they know how to entertain! These energetic acrobats were bow-riding, leaping through the waves, and giving us a full-on dolphin dance party. Their playful energy had everyone onboard buzzing. Just when we thought things couldn’t get better, we stumbled upon 2 humpback whales, feeding together like synchronized swimmers. And then—the moment we’d all been waiting for—they came right up close to our RIB! It was as if they decided to come and say a personal hello, making it an absolutely unforgettable encounter. On our way back, the ocean threw in one last surprise: 3 shy little harbor porpoises! Although they didn’t stick around for long, it was enough to send our passengers over the moon—four species in one tour? That’s a jackpot in the whale-watching world!

00 - After a breezy start to the day, the wind decided to take a break, giving us calm seas and perfect conditions for adventure! We set off with high hopes, and the ocean didn’t disappoint. About 30 minutes in, we spotted a pod of 5-7 white-beaked dolphins. These guys seemed to be in chill mode today, calmly cruising through the water rather than their usual acrobatic show. It felt like we were floating in harmony with them, but after a while, we decided to keep exploring. Then came the highlight of the day—a curious minke whale! Out of nowhere, it popped up right next to the boat, giving us all the surprise of a lifetime. We weren’t the only ones out there either, as we spotted another minke a little further off, adding to the excitement. As if things couldn’t get better, we soon found ourselves in the presence of not one, but two humpback whales! These gentle giants were feeding together and, in a stroke of pure luck, came incredibly close to our boat. The passengers were in awe, soaking in every majestic moment as the humpbacks graced us with their proximity. It was a day full of surprises, with the ocean serving up unforgettable encounters, one after another. From the peaceful dolphins to the curious minke and those magnificent humpbacks, it was yet another amazing adventure at sea!

00 - In the afternoon, the wind and swell had decreased so we were heading out on much calmer seas. We headed to the same area where the animals had been seen on previous tours and were not disappointed! We first found the 2 humpbacks that have been hanging around together. They were very relaxed and were gently swimming around for most of the time. Many times they showed off both their flukes when they went down for dives and came quite close to us as well. While we were waiting for the humpbacks to surface, we also spotted around 4 minke whales. Most of them were in the distance, but one swam pretty close to us! Then one of the humpback whales turned on its side and started slapping the water with its pectoral fin! It was amazing to see the huge white fin straight up out of the water! After this, the two whales seemed to start napping so we decided to move on and not disturb their rest. On our way back into the harbour, the bay was not finished showing off for us! We saw another minke whale very close. It even swam under the boats and we could follow its fluke prints. Then just as we were approaching the islands, we found a pod of 5-6 harbour porpoises! They were so cute! They also came fairly close to us before swimming away to continue feeding. An incredible end to the day!
