10:00 - This morning we sailed out into the wind and into adventure! We sailed around the bay for a bit and then spotted 3 blows in one area! We had found our trio of humpback whales again! It was Neila, Pep and a mystery third guest. All three were very relaxed so we could easily watch on. Pep did fluke a couple of times as well showing her gorgeous tail! While we watched on, we also spotted one minke whale at our 12 joining the party. We stayed in this spot as long as we could but eventually had to head back home

13:00 - In the afternoon, bellies full after lunch we went back into Faxa floi! The wind had picked up a bit from the morning so the sail out was quite nice but the sail back we had to face the Icelandic wind! That of course did not stop us and we were exited to see what was out there. And it was exiting to say the least! From a distance we saw big splashes and saw a humpback whale breach, we got closer and still it was breaching! It turned out it was Pep and she breached 3 more times when we got there! She was also keeping good company in the form of white beaked dolphins! There was a pod of 7 swimming along side of pep throughout the encounter. We stayed for a bit but eventually a few more boats were coming so we continued on. We quickly found two more humpback whales, again Neila and our mystery friend. They were much more relaxed so it was nice to see different behaviours during the tour. Once again, time ran out and we headed back to harbour.

15:00 - This afternoon we sailed out once more, the wind had calmed and we were ready for adventure. After a short sail we spotted a blow on the horizon! This time it was Neila - the humpback whale! We stayed with her all tour as she regularly came up and always showed the fluke when going down. She came up a few times quite close so we could hear her blow and a few times quite randomly leading us to believe she was feeding! We eventually had to face the wind and go back home and saw one more humpback on the way as well.
