10:00 - Today the sun was out but the air was a bit cold and windy as we started our tour out in the bay. We sailed quite far out and finally found a few minke whales, while the other boat found a pod of 10 to 15 white beaked dolphins. As one of our vessel was sighting 3 nice minke whales (one of them being a known individual of the bay : humpy), they saw a bigger blow in the distance and noticed a humpback whale ! Both rib boats then went to see this feeding humpback whale that we know as Davy Jones II and that has been sighted quite a bit in the last few days with the same feeding behaviour. Also it is always cool to mention we know this one for a few years, it has been a recurrent visitor of the bay that we can recognize through the pattern on the underside of its tail and its specific shape of its dorsal fin. After some time with this individual we made our way back to the harbour.

12:00 - Although the tour started in slightly choppy waters, the conditions improved when we got further out into the bay and we ended up having a lovely afternoon filled with sunshine and cetaceans. The first species we saw was a minke whale. He came up a few times, but we wanted to continue to see if we would see something else as well. We searched further and stumbled upon a pod of white-beaked dolphins. The dolphins were playful and curious and we were happy to see them from very close as they came up within touching distance from us. Suddenly, we were distracted by a splash and the blow of a humpback whale in an area full of seabirds. Here was a humpback whale, and another one, and about seven minke whales, and more dolphins! They were all swimming in the same area and were constantly coming up so that we always had something incredible to look at. What a wonderful tour!
