Whale Diary

19:00 - After a windy day we sailed this evening with a beautiful sunset, still a bit of swell but made everything a bit more fun. it took us about half an hour before we spotted a blow in the distance and as we got closer we also saw some dorsal fins coming towards us-white beaked dolphins! They passed super close and at the same time a humpback whale surprised us! amazing! Then we saw another blow and out of nowhere a breach! The whale jumped twice and then another whale also jumped super close to our boat! Amazing! we had about 5 humpbacks around us and about 2 minke whales also showing up! We ended the tour with a whale pec slapping as to say goodbye before we turned around and headed back to harbour still saving some minutes to pass by Akurey and see some cute puffins flying around.
