10:00 -  Today we started the tour with some atlantic puffins in one of the small islands in front of reykjavik. After the puffins the search for cetaceans started. We arrived to an area full of sea birds wich is a real good indicator of food in the bay. The birds were feeding themselves and 7 white beaked dolphins scattered around in the area appeared. Everyone had a really nice view of the dolphins and we spent a really funny time with them. After the dolphins 1 humpback whale surfaced shocking everyone since we were all just seeing the dolphins. This whale did some breaths at the surface and dived showing its beautiful fluke. Our search continued for other animals in the bay, the weather conditions were really nice and almost no wind. Some more white beaked dolphins appeared in the area different ones around 10-12 but we were trying to find more whales for the passengers too see. After some minutes we received a radio message from other boat and we went full speed and just before we had to start to return to reykjavik another humpback whale was spotted. The perfect way to end a tour.

14:00 - There was absolutely no wind this afternoon. We went to Akurey to see the puffins that were flying, diving and climbing on the rocks around us. We continued to find an area quite far away with 3 or 4 humpback whales and 2 or 3 minke whales. One of the minke whales was super small and came close to our boat, it was probably a juvenile. We tried to follow a humpback and could see a beautiful fluke dive from it. Then, we left to find another smaller humpback but this one did not show its tail. Two of the humpbacks seemed to briefly join so we started heading there but then we saw that the other humpback was behind us so we stop the boat with the engines completely off. We could see the humpback smoothly and camly coming at maybe less than 20 meters from us, hearing its breath in the calm waters of Faxaflói. Amazing. We were out of time so after a last fluke dive in the distance we went back home. We crossed a group of 5-7 white-beaked dolphins with several calves. A great ending for the tour.
