10:00 - It was under a bright sun that we started our tour today. After a bit of a ride we started our trip with some minke whales, we had 3 of them close to the boat. We then continued and saw a humpback whale ! This individual was the one we know as Davy Jones, seen for a few years coming back regularly in the bay. We got to observe this lovely individual for a while, close to the boats at some times displaying cool feeding behaviors ! Even some vertical and lunge feeding. We unfortunately had to head back to the harbour after this nice sighting, and the other boat got even extra lucky because they briefly crossed path with a pod of 3 to 4 white beaked dolphins

12:00 - It was under a bright sun but a bit more waves that we started this mid day tour. We knew where animals were seen on the previous tour so we decided to head directly to this area, since it was a bit far our, hoping the cetaceans were still around. When we arrived in this area we saw first a minke whale, but then we saw a large blow of a humpback whale ! This whale played a trick on us at the beginning, disappearing for some time but then it appeared again and we had great views on it while it was feeding in the area. It was still Davy Jones, the same individual as in the morning tour that we were observing. We stayed for quite a while, enjoyed some really cool lunge feeding, and even once the whale came really close to us seeming quite curious, we could see the bubbles underneath the boat and got droplets of its breath on our faces ! Definetely an impressive encounter no one will forget.

14:00 - We went to Engey to watch puffins taking the sun on the island and flying around. Then we went further out looking for larger animals. We smelled some minke whale stinky breath during our way out and stopped in an area where there was probably 3 or 4 of those minke whales swimming and feeding. We then went to an area where other whale watching boats spotted a humpback whale, it was Davy Jones that almost didn't move from his spot from this morning, still feeding in the area. We saw this humpback going for frequent dives, showing us its tail many times. In the same area a pod of 6-7 white beaked dolphins arrived! They came under the boat and jumped a bit and got very close, very friendly cetaceans. After a last fluke dive of humpback whale and a last sighting of the dolphins, we went back to the harbour.
