00 - We set sail under beautiful grey skies and made a first stop at the puffin islands. After some time in Akurey we sailed faster into Faxafloi bay to try our luck into finding something bigger. After 20 minutes Guillermo spotted a minke whale. This minke was pretty friendly and came up a few times that we could observe its small back and pointy fin. We then continued and found a pod of 4 or 5 white beaked dolphins. The dolphins were swimming pretty fast, and even went to our boat to bow ride. We then were out of time but heard of a bigger animal in the area. We decided to see it a few times before going home even though it meant arriving a bit later home. We got lucky and saw a humpback whale. We observed it surfacing a few times and had to head back home. 3 species, what a lucky tour.

00 - We had a whale of a time this afternoon! We set sail and shortly from the harbor a blow was spotted. It was one humpback whale! They were very relaxed and could even smell its breath. We were not the only ones that were curious for suddenly our humpback turned towards us and started spy hopping! They decided we were interesting enough to check out and after our boat inspection, we continued on. Shortly after we saw another blow! We had come across another humpback whale! We were impressed by its beautiful fluke not once but twice! We could tell it had been eating well when suddenly we saw a poop, how great! This one also came close to inspect our boat and then off it went to dive back down and feed. So thus, off we went to view one of our lovely puffin populations and head back to port. What a great tour!

00 - We started our trip with our cute puffins on Akurey island. Thousands of them enjoying the sun and flying around with there little wings. We increased our speed and set our course to search for our bigger friends. Not long after we spotted our first humpback whale. It was really friendly and stayed with us for a long time treating us with multiple fluke dives. While we where with her we saw another blow! Another humpback whale gently sliding thought the water. Out of the sudden an impressive breach that let us speechless. What a show! After a Hight fluke dive we let her continue her way. And as if it wasn´t enough on our way back we briefly saw a minke whale too .What an amazing day.

00 - We had a fabulous day out on the bay this afternoon! We started big with one humpback whale! We were able to see multiple surfaces and take in its fluke. It was also curious about us for we got to see its face when it spy-hopped! With a wave of its fluke, we moved on to see who else was waiting to say hello! Next we came across our most elusive species, two harbor porpoises! We got a great look at this species with multiple surfaces. Like typical porpoises they didn´t hang around for long so we continued on to see who else was around. Suddenly, we spotted the back of one minke whale! Our third species of the tour what luck! This usually elusive species proved us wrong by providing us a very nice viewing. We had multiple surfaces, smelled that ´stinky minke´ breath, and got to see its smile! How lucky were we! We concluded the tour with a nice look at our Atlantic puffins, and then headed back to port. What a wonderful way to spend the afternoon on the bay.

00 - What a way to end the day! We set sail with crystal calm seas, the sun just over the horizon, very picturesque. We paused to inspect some diving birds, but no one was below to say hello so we continued our search. Then in the distance we spotted quite a ruckus with splashing up ahead! As we got closer we realized we had found not one but two cetacean species! We had 4 white-beaked dolphins playing with one humpback whale! While the dolphins were amused we are not sure that the whale was having the same joyous feelings as it swished its tail at the surface and trumpeted at them. The dolphins then started to leave the humpback alone and instead check us out! After the dolphins tired of us we were able to get a good look at our humpback whale. They provided us with multiple surfaces and even a fluke dive! While our humpback dove we spotted another pod of 8 white-beaked dolphins splashing about, so we waved our whale goodbye and went to check them out. They were very curious about us and surrounded our boat! We could watch them moving back and forth under the water. They seemed to be in a playful mood as well and started jumping and showing us their tails! When it was time to head back our dolphins were not quite done with us and gave us some bow riding displays before disappearing off into the sunset. We checked out our puffins and enjoyed many surrounding us on the surface of the water, before we made our way back to port. A fabulous end to a fabulous day!
