09:00 - The sun was out, but the ocean was definitely in motion. We layered up well and off we went. The waves did soak us a bit, but we were in the best of spirits. At sea, we investigated an area a bit for harbour porpoises. One of our boats spotted some, but by the time the second boat joined they had disappeared. We carried on and came across two humpback whales swimming next to one another. We found them quite coincidentally, because the wind kept their blows quite low and took them away fast. They spent quite some time at the surface and we witnessed two peduncle throws. More boats started coming to the area, so we moved on. We found another humpback whale. This time a solitary one that spend more time under the surface with short periods at the surface. Nearby, we also spotted 3 harbour porpoises that showed up briefly! We looked at the humpback a few more times and eventually it was time to turn around. Before we went back into the harbour, we did a little pass by the Sun Voyager. What an exciting time at sea!
