Whale Diary

11:00 - The weather was overcast and the wind blew from the south west as we went out to the bay. Not to far out we spotted the first blows that turned out to be a pair of humpback whales. They slowly swam together near the surface, so we had the chance to get a good estimation of their size as they got close to our boats. We spend some time with them before we went out further onto the bay to see what else we could find. The fog rolled in and our search was without further success until we got back between the island as we spotted another pair of humpback whales accompanied by one minke whale. To have both species around the boat was a great opportunity to compare them and enjoy their grace before heading back into the harbor after a great tour out on the bay.
