Species seen today: humpback whale, white-beaked dolphin, harbour porpoises, Minke whale

This morning was a bit windy, with it picking up throughout the day. Despite this we had great tours all day! In the morning, we saw 5 humpback whales. We first encountered a pair together either resting or sleeping, surfacing often and staying close to the surface. After watching them for a while, left and not long after came across three more humpbacks feeding together. These individuals were a little more active and showed us their flukes often. One of them surfaced very close to our boat and we were able to see just how huge these animals are! One of our boats was also lucky enough to see a pair of breaching humpbacks. On our afternoon tours, we had a very brief sighting of a Minke whale and then came across two humpbacks feeding. About four white-beaked dolphins came and swam around and between the whales. We didn´t know where to look with so much action! The fabulous Atlantic puffins were active and we had some lovely sightings of fulmars, gannets and Arctic terns.
