11:00 - Today we had amazing sea conditions! The wind was weak, the waves were smooth, the swell formidable. When we left the harbour, we had our eyes sharp in the ocean, ready to spot anything. We then spotted 2 humpback whales, sleeping and logging side by side. It was beautiful to be alone with them, with no other boat around. We turned off the engines and listened to nature: the birds passing by, the loud blow of the humpbacks in their sleep, the sound of the sea... Perfection. They were so sleepy that they didn't realize when they were coming very close to the boat. They were centimeters away from touching us, when they woke up and moved! That was fantastic to see them so up close. Then, on the way back veeery close to the entrance of the harbour, we spotted a minke whale, so calm and nice. We got very good looks at it, with the city sighting behind. A couple of meters away, a harbour seal popped up! It was very curious and cautious, just looking at us. The perfect ending for our tour.
