10:00 - Today we face the bay with some challenging conditions. At the beginning we stopped at Akurey to see some atlantic puffins, very happy as usual. After the puffins our cetacean search started. Amidst the rough seas, our patience was rewarded as 3 majestic humpback whales graced us with their presence.  The area was full of birds and some smelly scent in the air meaning a lot of fish was travelling in the water and the whales were following all the small fishes. We had some beautiful sightings of the tails and the bodies of the animals. Despite the challenging conditions, the sheer beauty of these magnificent creatures made the journey worthwhile. Eventually we had to start to head back to the harbour after another very succesfull tour.

12:00 - We were warned that the sea was a bit rough today before going out in the bay, but everyone on board seemed up for a challenge and a bit of adventure. As we started our tour we had a short stop by Engey to see a few puffins looking at us on the rocks by the soft grass. After some minutes it was time to go out in the open sea and try to find some cetaceans. After a good 40 minute ride in a bit of a swell, not too bad actrually as no one got some splashes on the way, we spotted a blow in the distance. As we got closer we realized this individual was a humpback whale, luckily enough we got to see it a few times surfacing and quite close before it decided to go away from us. We then spotted another humpback whale that we got to see for a surfacing sequence and then also spotted a minke whale we saw for 2 short times. We then moved around to see a third individual whale that we saw briefly before it was time to start heading back to the harbour. The whales were a bit shy on this tour but we still got extremely lucky to see 2 species and 3 different individual humpback whales, all of this while enjoying a slight bumpy ride.
