00 - Sailing out this morning, we were greatly lucky with the weather and sea, as both sun and swell seemed to be at their most perfect conditions. Quite quickly, we encountered a pod of white beaked dolphins, 7 individuals out of the 20 we saw throughout the tour. Later we, came back the pair of mother and calf humpback whales, that we have been seeing for the pas weeks: altogether, we managed to see 4 humpbacks, with some breaching and with the younger calf of the group approaching our boat closer and closer every time. On top of this, over 10 minke whales roamed around, as an extra to our already amazing sightings. This was really a one of a kind tour, for a one of a kind day.

00 - This afternoon we went out into a very calm bay, there was no wind at all and even a little sunshine - perfect conditions for whale watching! We did not have to sail far before we spotted the first dorsal fin in the distance. As we got closer we noticed it was a minke whale that was lunge feeding in the area. We watched as this individual stayed quite close to our boat and took some nice gulps of food, just in front! Then all of a sudden, a small harbour porpoise showed up on our right hand side, and we watched it come up for air four times very close to us. With this great start, we headed on to test our luck further out. Out of the calm surface, we then suddenly spotted splashes from pod of about 15 white beaked dolphins. We marveled, as they jumped all around us. Some jumped with their whole bodies out of the air, and others surfaced for air on the sides of the boat. As the dolphins dispersed, we continued our way, and came across a second pod of about 10 white beaked dolphins. We stopped and watched these make some very beautiful jumps as well. As we started to make our way back, we noticed two blows ahead. When we got closer, we noticed that it was two familiar faces - the humpback whale mother and her calf that have been showing up in the bay during the last weeks. This adorable duo decided to come up close and personal to us today. We turned off the engines and watched as the calf dove from one side of the boat to the other, spy hopping to check us out. The mother was just beside, making some loud exhales and observing as her calf was being curious of us. Everyone was amazed by this beautiful and personal encounter, and the whales seemed to never want to leave us. When they did decide to make their way onwards, we continued our way back and also stopped by one of our puffin islands before we reached the harbour again. What and absolutely wonderful tour with all our four main species spotted!

00 - Once again, we had one of a kind tour, few words can describe it. We got to see 2 pods of white beaked dolphins, with around 10 individuals, al of them happily bow riding; but they were merely the appetizer for the rest of our sightings. Seeing "only" 3 humpback whales would seem limited, nevertheless: one of these individuals kept breaching in front of us, on and on for 20 minutes. Later on, a mother-calf pair we have seen continuously in the last few days came incredibly close to us, scanning the boat on all angles, with the younger individual tail slapping and breaching meters from the boat for almost an hour, with no one around but us. It was really a magical moment, with also 5 minke whales and a pod of 5 harbor porpoises for a tour we would all remember greatly.

00 - Continuing the brilliant tours we had earlier in the day, this afternoon treated us to some close up encounters with our bigger whale species. Not long after we headed out we spotted a splash in the distance. It was a breaching humpback whale. We went over and observed it do some very nice fluke dives. Further, we came across two feeding minke whales diving around our boat. As they swam on, we continued our journey and a pod of about 15 white beaked dolphins showed up. We watched as they jumped and swam next to the boat for quite some time. Later, we spotted more splashes in the distance from the mother and calf humpback whale that now are familiar faces in the bay. Another pod of 10-15 white beaked dolphins joined the humpback whales, seemingly playing with them. The humpback duo reacted by doing several fluke slaps, pec slapping and some rolling. We stayed here for quite some time, although after a while we saw even more splashes in the distance. We headed over and discovered it was 2 more humpback whales breaching. As we arrived we closed the engines as they both came very close to us, pec slapping and doing several head rises. On the way back we stopped by one of the puffin islands, and as we reached the harbour again everyone was amazed about the incredible tour we had.

00 - This evening we had an incredible tour. The ocean was very calm, there were almost no clouds in the sky and we had a beautiful sunset ahead of us. Perfect conditions for whale watching! It didn't take us very long to find a pod of 10 white beaked dolphins. They were very playful and we could take a closer look at them while they were jumping and bow riding. Then, we encountered a pair of humpback whales. They were extremely curious, they came really close to the boat, swam underneath us and even took a closer look at us by taking their heads out of the water. With them, there was a pod of around 20 white beaked dolphins. Then, we decided to leave them alone and to look for something else. We found a few minke whales every now on them. When we were about to go back to port, we saw another humpback breaching in the distance so we decided to check it out. When we arrived, the whale said goodbye to us by doing some pec slaps. Definitely a tour that we will all remember.
