Species seen today: Humpback whale

Today we had very choppy seas throughout the whole day. Conditions only allowed for two tours at the beginning of the day as the wind strength intensified as the day grew longer. Both tours returned with happy guests as a humpback whale was seen on both trips. The whales displayed a range of behaviours from calmly travelling to acrobatic breaches. On a number of occasions the beautiful fluke was seen during the whales dive. Unfortunately, the afternoon and evening tours were cancelled but we plan to be sailing again in the morning, with our first Whales, Puffins and Reykjavik tour at 10am.
