Species seen today: Humpback whale, Minke whale, White-beaked Dolphins

Overcast skies and calm seas provided great spotting conditions throughout the entire day, although the wind strength increased and changed direction causing a little more waves. The bay was full of wildlife, from flocks of seabirds to a diversity of cetaceans. Each tour began with minke whales which were found easily due to the aerial activity that could be seen from kilometres away. We watched the whales whilst reamining motionless, as several fed around our vessel. After, a pod of white-beaked dolphins consisting of 3-4 individuals, intentionally made their way towards our boat showing a desire to play. They twisted and turned close to the bow flashing their white stripe on their flanks in awe of the guests. After the dolphins left the area, we journeyed a little further and soon located a humpback whale. We were able to watch the whale perform many breaths and the surface before lifting the fluke for deeper dives.
