10:00 - It's a beautiful day and everyone wants to see whales including me so let's go out in search of them! We had a sunny day but with a bit of wind and swell that made a few splashes but nothing too bad, we were determined to find cetaceans, and that's what we did! We saw a glimpse of a fin and 2 seconds later 2 minke whales came up for air, It did a few dives and also a lunge feed through a flock of birds that were feeding on something under the surface of the water. We could even see the pinkish underside of this gentle giant! After that, we carried on with our journey and found a small pod of 2 to 3 white-beaked dolphins that came under our boat and jumped around like the good lads they were. We continued the search and we had an encounter with another pod of the same species of dolphins but this time they were 7 or 8, a much bigger pod that permitted us to see more cool behaviors and 10/10 jumps! The sun kept shining but our time was over so we headed back to sunny Reykjavík to enjoy this beautiful non-Icelandic day!

14:00 - It was still a bit choppy at the very beginning of the tour but then almost no waves were in sight by the time of the end of the tour. Sun was shining, and the first thing we noticed was something jumping very far away : It was some white beaked dolphins ! as we arrived we saw a pod of about 10 animals, feeding, socializing and bow riding. Some of the younger individuals even greeted us with some cool jumps by the boat. We stayed with the dolphins for a while and eventually explored a bit more the area. We were on the look for some whales, and eventually at the very end of the tour our 2 boats managed to catch a fast look of a few minke whales, there was 2 or 3 in the area. In this area we also had a look on some harbour porpoises, 2 different pods both of 2 to 3 individuals. After this we made it back to the harbour, under a bright sun.
