10:00 - Whales were everywhere today! We saw blows all around us, and the two RIBs split up to spend time with their own individuals. Besides whales, we could also see hundreds of birds feasting on the fish in the bay. Arctic terns, razorbills, arctic skuas and Atlantic puffins were flying above and around us, but of course the stars of the show were the humpback whales. Two individuals threw their peduncle in the air for a spectacular sighting of their fluke. Shortly after the two RIBs joined each other to observe the same humpback whale, we left back to Reykjavík before the wind picked up too much.
