Whale Safari Guides

Whale Safari Guides

Today we are going out at 1000, 1200 and 1400!

Species seen today: Humpback Whales, Minke Whales and White-beaked Dolphins.

10:00 - We are getting very lucky with the nice weather and sea conditions lately and today was no different. Our first encounter on this tour was an AMAZING! pod of 4-6 white beaked dolphins that were so playful and super curious of our gopro. We got some wonderful underwater footage, which I am sure will be on our social media soon. The we found an area with 6-8 minke whales feeding and lastly a pair of humpback whales, our beloved Neila and a friend of hers. A really wonderful morning.

12:00 - We had a private tour this afternoon with a lovely couple from India. We also love this time of day because we usually have the whales to our selves, no other whale watching boats around but this can also be challenging to find these amazing animals because of that too. However, we found the pairs of humpback whales again. Neila came up many times, her friend (the other humpback) was not surfacing as freqently as Neila so probably a bit more wary around boats. We then went looking for dolphins but found 2 minke whales instead. Another great tour.

14:00 - The wind and seas became a little more challenging this afternoon and we had a few more splashes coming over the boat. However, we saw the pair of humpbacks again and a very speedy pod of 6-8 white-beaked dolphins in the distance. We had quality time with Neila and her friend and then went to try and find the dolphins to have a better look at them but alas we could not find them again. Still, a very nice, albeit cold tour.
